July saw a drop in overall viewership among the top VTubers, despite a star-studded collaboration between Miko, Usada, and other top Hololive streamers on ARK: Survival Evolved. The top 10 mostly feature familiar faces, but the rare appearance of a female Nijisanji VTuber in the top 10 shook up Hololive’s iron grip on the rankings.

Miko Ch. さくらみこ (Sakura Miko)
Sakura Miko managed to take back her title of #1 VTuber in July from Kuzuha, taking first place with an AMA of 26K. As a long-time member of VTuber group Hololive, fans keep tuning in for her shrine maiden appearance and daring plays in games like GTA V. To retake the top spot, Miko held a 3D concert in which she announced the release date for her first album “Flower Rhapsody”.
Kuzuha Channel
Kuzuha settled down from his incredible performance in June, generating an AMA of just over 22K in July. Kuzuha is a vampire with a suave yet arrogant personality, drawing in fans as the most subscribed male VTuber on YouTube with 1.7M subscribers. Kuzuha’s high viewership in July resulted from a string of consistently popular VALORANT streams and a one-off playthrough of Powerful Pro Baseball 2024 – 2025.
Pekora Ch. 兎田ぺこら (Usada Pekora)
Usada Pekora took 3rd place this month, dropping to an AMA of 22K and losing her title of “The Bunny Queen”. However, she did still generate the highest viewership with 2.7M hours watched. As a Hololive member, Pekora causes mischief under the guise of a sweet bunny girl. She’s mostly known for playing sandbox builders like Minecraft and Terraria, and RPGs like Granblue Fantasy. This month, Pekora joined a massive VTuber collaboration for the game ARK: Survival Evolved along with Miko and other Hololive members.
Subaru Ch. 大空スバル (Oozora Subaru)
Oozora Subaru settled in at #4 with an AMA of 18K, dropping 5K from last month. Subaru takes a different tack from many of Hololive’s VTubers, adopting a tomboy-ish, extroverted personality. As mentioned earlier, her ARK: Survival Evolved collaboration with Miko and Usada certainly helped bring in new viewers, but the primary reason for her high position on this month’s leaderboard was the finale of her Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc playthrough – a favorite amongst the VTuber community.
フレン・E・ルスタリオ (Furen E Lustario)
Furen E Lustario is the sole female Nijisanji VTuber on this list, making her entrance with an AMA of 16K. Although she presents herself as a graceful knight, fans have noticed her lack of common sense (she once failed a test meant for 4th graders!). Regardless, Furen made waves in July thanks to joining in on the GTA V RP trend and also playing the newly released Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025.
不破 湊 / Fuwa Minato【にじさんじ】
As yet another Nijisanji member popping back up into the top 10, Fuwa Minato caught the attention of viewers with an AMA of 15K. Minato adopts the friendly and approachable persona of a “host”; in Japan, a host works at a host club and keeps the club’s patrons company by providing attention. Although his singing content is usually the most popular, it was again his playthrough of Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 that hooked in viewers.
Aqua Ch. 湊あくあ
Minato Aqua dropped down to an AMA of 14K in July, yet maintained her spot in the top 10 VTubers. As another Hololive member, Aqua is known for her elegant maid outfits which is undercut by her bumbling airhead persona. While also joining in the ARK: Survival Evolved collaboration, Aqua satisfied long-term fans by continuing her playthrough of Dragon Quest XI.
ローレン・イロアス / Lauren Iroas【にじさんじ】
Lauren Iroas proved his staying power by sticking in the top 10 this month with an AMA of just under 14K. As a member of Nijisanji, his content is quite different from the other entrants on this list with competitive shooters like VALORANT and Apex Legends. While continuing the roaring success of last month’s GTA V RPs, Lauren also made a late jump onto the Chained Together trend that was popular last month.
Korone Ch. 戌神ころね (Inugami Korone)
Inugami Korone takes Subaru’s love for retro games one step further, focusing on old-school titles that her fans may never have seen before and playing through them with her upbeat personality (as befits her dog-girl persona). Korone hasn’t been streaming as much in July, but her focus has been on Nintendo exclusive titles. Playing the remastered versions of Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Metroid Prime was a particularly popular choice among her fans.
叶ちゃんねる (Kanae Channel)
Kanae is the only VTuber in the top 10 who primarily streams on Twitch, generating an AMA of 11.5K. Kanae’s self-assured, charming persona brings in fans to his streams as he plays highly competitive games. Kanae joined the fun of the Nijisanji GTA V RP sessions, perhaps being even better suited for the game as he already streams on Twitch where GTA V is ever popular. But in July, it was his collaboration with Kuzuha and others on 7 Days To Die that most appealed to his fans.
With Elden Ring out as the go-to game for views amongst the VTuber community, the top 10 had a more diverse array of content. While ARK: Survival Evolved and Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 were massive collaboration events, we saw a mix of competitive live service games and retro remasters finding an audience. Stream Hatchet will see whether the deadlock between Kuzuha, Miko, and Usada can be broken in the coming months.
