To celebrate my 12-year milestone, I wanted to share a glimpse of my journey as a board person at the Talking Stick Resort. Multitasking, providing top-notch customer service, and paying attention to every detail, even in the most demanding situations, have been essential skills along the way. From a humble start at a room of 47 tables to our current space with 69 tables, I've witnessed remarkable growth and adaptation. This journey isn't just about personal achievements; it's a testament to the collaborative efforts of everyone involved. Special thanks to Michelle McGinn, Clement Tang, and the coworkers and poker players I've built strong relationships with. I’m excited to see where my path takes me.

Congrats Caitlyn! 12 years is quite the accomplishment. Whenever I'm in the poker room you make me feel like my preferences matter (yes, I have a few) while maintaining complete control of the many games in play. You're warm personality combined with your mastery of the position elevates my experience every time! Thank you Caitlyn!

12 years already? Not many people can process all the information that comes at you at such a rapid speed. It takes a lot of concentration and mental energy to process all the details to do this job well. The board person is the heart beat of the poker room. Thanks for all you do!

Life and careers are a bit like a Cornetto. (Writing this as I eat one). Hear me out.You got the top which is exciting and sweet, like entering your new career, you got the middle which is still good but not as interesting but necessary (the journey) and then you have the sweet bit of chocolate at the bottom that everybody loves! That’s where my goals lie, how about you?For some the best bit is at the start, for others it’s the journey and for the rest it might be the last part of the career journey that matters most! Which part of the Cornetto is your favourite?#lifeisacornetto #career #careerjourney

It also reminds us that there is only one CEO, and no matter how hard you work, how dedicated you are, if you have 50 other colleagues to compete with, it may just not happen for you. Not because you are not as good as the next successful person, but because there is simply a very small number of higher managerial positions. How many employees does PRET have in the UK? 5K? Now, out of those 5K how many are top executive positions? 3? 5? What also counts is luck, and being in the right place at the right time.

🥕🥕 Be a positive Carrot... 🥕🥕How can a little trinket make such an impact to a person? By the power of recognition that's how. Being gifted this a while back by one of Paragon Skills very own Ops Directors Janet Owens is still a highlight of my professional career. Having senior colleagues go out of their way to recognise positivity across their direct reports and wider colleagues is such an inspirational way to engage and motivate people to continue to go above and beyond. Especially during periods of significant growth. Since getting my positive carrot it sits nicely on my desk and I often reflect on my day and what has happened that I can feel positive about, or how I have been a positive carrot. Todays thoughts from a positive carrot… 🥕 I am so proud when I think of the development of Adam Blake and how he is successfully delivering results, creating engaging social media content and stepping out of his comfort zone to deliver a company wide job role session! Playing a small part in his success makes me feel positive daily. 🥕 Chloe Gilgrist is proving to be a sensational appointment, already getting stuck into the role and supporting with some significant growth for our Development Coaches, the impact you’re having after only 6 weeks is incredible. I am positive you’ll continue to do great things! 🥕I am positive and engergised about the roles we work on, as working across both Paragon Skills and Tempdent keeps everything exciting and fresh. Each day comes with new opportunities and the chance to speak to so many great candidates. 🥕 Finally, after speaking with our newly joined colleagues, it has been heart warming to hear how much they are enjoying their experience so far, and how myself and the team have made that a possibility for them by bringing them onboard this journey. So if you thought about your own day... How have you been a positive carrot or how has someone been a positive carrot to you? #positivethoughts #carrot #positivecarrot #joinus
