Enhance your FBW A320 Neo (Development Version) with a Weather Radar Mod that integrates Default A320 Neo functionality. Please note the mods compatibility and installation instructions.
This mod will add the Default (Asobo) A320 Neo Weather Radar functionality into FBW A320 Neo (Development Version). Please note that it only works on Development version. This mod is not compatible with the Stable version.
Installation Instruction: Extract and put the flybywire-wxradar-a320-neo-dev folder into your Community folder.
!!! IMPORTANT!!!
- Somehow the FBW Installer does not allow you to update the FBW A320 Neo Dev version when it detects this weather radar mod.
- To get around that, you can simply remove this mod temporarily from the Community folder and proceed with the FBW update. After that you can put this mod back into the Community folder.
--------------------------
How to activate Weather Radar:
- On the WX Radar panel, flip the SYS switch to 1 or 2 position
- SYS 1 will activate the WX radar on the captain side only, and SYS 2 will activate the FO side only
Disclaimer:
- All credits goes to Asobo and FBW team
- Use this mod at your own risk. I'm not responsible to any damage caused by the use of this mod
- Because the Development version of FBW A320 Neois still dynamically changing, at some point, this mod would need to be adjusted and updated to make it work with the latest FBW update
- When it breaks the original FBW A320 Neo aircraft addon or it is not functioning anymore, I recommend to remove this mod from the Community folder

Latest changes to the A32NX dev branch means this mod will cause systems in the aircraft to no longer function correctly. This mod is overwriting original FBW A32NX files in the virtual filesystem, which is effectively reversing the changes made to some files by the FBW team. These are then not working properly with the other files that are updated.
Remember, MSFS weather API provides no useful WX radar. You're looking at a cosmetic option only to display on your ND at best. Don't waste your time with it and risk your flight being aborted due to issues that cannot be fixed in flight.
And, certainly don't be posting it as an issue to the FBW team while you still have poorly designed modifications still in your Community folder like this one. It no doubt causes the team a huge headache trying to work out what is wrong, when it's third party content (already flagged as incompatible) contributing to the problem.

I would love to have this in FENIX, great work!

Amazing addon! Can you make it work on Fenix too?

Just so you understand (been said before by FBW team) This mod causes the ND to use the entire ASOBO ND, just doesn't add the weather layer (which would have been cool) that is not as fully featured. Nice to have for eye-candy.. but not worth it IMO.

Thank you very much. Any chance you can implement this into the Fenix A320 and PMDG737?

Working perfectly, thank you very much!
Do you believe would you be able to do the same with the terrain radar? The FBW/Simbridge is very well made, however a lot of users have problems with stutters due to the Simbridge.

Thanks for this update.
It makes the FBW A320 more realistic.
Don't know why the FBW Team don't implement this.

I still don't know why the FBW team does not implement a working weather radar like this. Why don't you work together? Even it is not 100 % perfect, a weather radar which shows nothing is much worse than a weather radar with simple rain clutters.

works perfectly! Thank you very much! <3 😀
